The D-Bowe Saga

He came into the 2013 season predicting to lead the NFL in receiving, and while Chiefs WR Dwayne Bowe was obviously well short of that, he is still the same cocky, eccentric guy we have come to love.

Bowe as of late has been receiving some significant criticism, especially after that dreaded foot fell just out of bounds. He had a statistically down year with only 57 catches for 673 yards and five touchdowns. We lacked to see that cornerstone one handed catch that we've grown accustomed to seeing year in and year out. This season from Bowe was a large disappointment to many fans.

But as we've seen Bowe play in Kansas City for the last seven years, he has blossomed into something much more than just an on the field product.

The D. Bowe Show recently appeared on an interview on 810 sports, and spoke like his old common self. Bowe was still glowing with confidence and cockiness, referring to himself as a phenomenal receiver, and credited himself with getting three offensive players to the Pro Bowl.

Its very easy to be dissatisfied with a player like Dwayne Bowe. The arrests, the drops, they're very difficult to deal with, especially when he's an NFL wide receiver. But those crisp slant routes, and those flashy points to the camera: its what we live for as Chiefs fans. So instead of constantly criticizing him, sit back and enjoy the Show.
