Eric Fisher's groin injury has his status for Chiefs-Colts in question

The Kansas City Chiefs No. 1 overall pick suffered a groin injury in Tuesday's practice, according to reporters.

Could the Kansas City Chiefs be missing Eric Fisher on Sunday Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts?

The Chiefs, who were expected to enter Sunday's Chiefs-Colts game completely healthy, are now having to ask that question. Reporters at the Chiefs practice, including Adam Teicher of ESPN.com, report that Fisher suffered a groin injury in practice on Tuesday.

Sounds like we're still in the wait-and-see mode. The Chiefs will practice again tomorrow. If he misses the final two practices before a game ... history says he's probably not gonna play.

It's amazing how far we've come in just one year when the Chiefs could be missing their starting right tackle days before a playoff game and my concern level over this is low. Donald Stephenson is a more than capable back-up who can handle his own if Fisher is unable to go. Stephenson has been forced into action on multiple occasions this year and the offense has been able to function. That's not to say I want Fisher to be out. Three healthy offensive tackles is better than two, no doubt. But the Chiefs are prepared for this. This is why you draft that back-up tackle in the third round, why you draft a tackle No. 1 overall and it's why you franchise tag your left tackle who, by the way, is expected to return on Sunday after a month-long absence.

In better injury news, Teicher reports that Dwayne Bowe has been cleared to play.
