There is one player on the Jacksonville Jaguars that some Kansas City Chiefs fans wanted. That would be Luke Joeckel, the rookie out of Texas A&M. The Chiefs were reportedly contemplating between Eric Fisher and Luke Joeckel, among others, for the No. 1 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft. The Chiefs took Fisher. The Jags took Joeckel.
But beyond Joeckel, answer this question:
Which Jaguars player should Chiefs fans want right now?
The Chiefs don't have the strongest roster in the league but they are strong(er) at some of the spots where the Jaguars are strong so this is kind of a difficult question. For my answer, I look to the passing game.
The Jaguars drafted receiver Cecil Shorts in the fourth round two years ago. He broke out last year with a 979-yard receiving season, including 55 catches and seven touchdowns. He could line up as the Chiefs No. 2 receiver. Every year there are players drafted late that end up becoming stars. Shorts' breakout year could be a hint that he's better than his draft round suggests.
That's my pick. What about yours?
