Last week’s roll up.
Respectable week overall with Vince edging Nate and I out by picking the Eagles on Monday Night. We all need some of what Matt Miller from Bleacher Report is having (luck) as he went 14-2 while Pete Prisco from CBS beat .500 at 9-7
This week’s games:
Eric: New England
-Geno got lucky last week. If he gets lucky again this week the Patriots still win a close division game.
Nate: New England
-Jets have surprised many early, but there won't be a surprise in this one.
Vince: New England
-Both teams look like dump I expect the Pats to pull it off at the end just like the last week.
Eric: Kansas City
-Dallas won’t get six turnovers especially playing one of the league’s most efficient QB’s. The Chiefs win surprisingly easy, is it still too early to take them serious?
Nate: Kansas City
-Chiefs defense proves that last week's game against the Jags wasn't a fluke while the offense does just enough to win.
Vince: Kansas City
-Both teams won last week but the Chiefs are definitely the more promising team.
-Atlanta may again struggle on offense against the up and coming STL D but will pull off the win for the home crowd in the dome.
-The Falcons have lost only 7 regular season games at home over the last 5 years. They get another win at home this week.
-The Falcons were on fire against the Saints in a great game while the Rams played crappy against a sub-par Cardinal team.
-The Panthers surprisingly stout D shut down the Seahawks last week but the Bills pull off a surprise at home this week.
-The Bills take their anger out on the Panthers after losing at the last second to the Pats .
-Carolina will play a lot better against the Bills than the Pats did look out blow out.
-Chicago stunned the Bengals last week. AP alone won’t be enough, Ponder needs to step up. Imagine if the Vikings had an inkling of a passing game. Scary and sad.
-The Vikings still have to establish a pass game before I’ll believe in them.
Eric: Green Bay
-Without wheels RG3 looked broke down. Can’t see the Pack going 0-2.
Nate: Green Bay
-Expect a shootout in Green Bay. Edge goes to Rodgers and the home team.
Vince: Green Bay
-Sorry RG who?
-This one’s tough; Miami wasn’t stunning but Indy was lack luster against the Raiders. I’ll give Miami the surprising 2-0 road start.
-The Colts probably have more holes on their roster, but they also clearly have the better QB.
-At home the Colts will have "Luck" on their side.
-Philly’s offense seemed to run out of steam late. The Chargers collapsed at home which looms with them during the flight east.
-Teams will eventually adjust to the Eagles offense, but the Chargers won't be one of them.
-It’s hard to think the Chargers will stop this up tempo offense.
-Weeden’s no Manning, with that Cleveland’s no Denver. Baltimore rebounds big.
-Baltimore's defense will struggle again, but a more balanced offense this week will lead them to victory.
-Watch this one closely could go either way.
-Texans pulled off the comeback. Titans pulled off the upset. The new team tops the old team.
-The Texans make this game a little less interesting this week.
-Home town favorites.
-Intriguing game that could go either way, only sure thing here is Suh takes a cheap shot.
-Too many offensive weapons for the Cards defense to handle. And don't be surprised if the Cards running game is held to less than 50 yards.
-Detroit is my team on the rise this year I hope they don’t disappoint.
Eric: New Orleans
Saints keep marching.
Nate: New Orleans
The Saints are a completely different team with Payton back.
Vince: New Orleans
After the Bucs lost to the Jets they might as well put Glennon in at QB.
-Jags can’t take advantage of starting the season facing two straight teams from the NFL’s "worst division"
-If the1976 Buccaneers and 2012 Chiefs could make love and have a baby, they would create the 2013 Jaguars.
-I like what Pryor brings to the table
-Peyton wins the Manning bowl without seven touchdowns. Not sure why Vince went personal in this one…ouch
Nate: New York
-When you can turn the ball over 6 times on the road against a quality opponent and still almost get the win, you know you have a talented football team. Time for the Broncos to come back down to earth.
-Big brother runs over the mistake his parents made.
Eric: San Francisco
-Let’s hope the Seahawks rebound from last week or this could get ugly.
-Never underestimate the 12th man. The Seahwaks went 8-0 at home last season including a blowout win over Kaepernick and the 49ers. They win another one against their division rival.
Vince: San Francisco
-The Seahawks barely beat Carolina how can they expect to contain the Niners.
-Another offensive struggle like last week and Haley could find himself on another hot seat.
-An already horrible o-line in Pittsburgh just lost their Pro Bowl center. Expect a whole lot of nothing from Big Ben and the offense.
-Neither team looked good the 1st week but I have faith in the Red Hair.
