Chiefs roster cuts: Marcus Dixon is the first one down, cut by Chiefs

The KC Chiefs first cut on Saturday is defensive end Marcus Dixon. The Chiefs roster now stands at 74 players.

The very first cut by the Kansas City Chiefs is a bit of a surprise -- defensive end Marcus Dixon. This news comes from Dixon himself on Twitter:

I had Dixon making the Chiefs 53-man roster so this is a slight surprise, but he was most definitely on the roster bubble. Dixon was a reserve defensive end behind Tyson Jackson and Mike DeVito. He came into the league in 2008 as an undrafted free agent with the Dallas Cowboys. He also spent time with the Jets. Dixon is 28 years old. He signed with the Chiefs this offseason.

This is how I have the defensive end rotation shaking out in my 53-man prediction, with Dixon's name crossed out:
