Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid was asked the money question on a conference call this afternoon.
Does Tyler Bray have a chance to move up the Chiefs depth chart -- specifically, ahead of Chase Daniel -- as the season moves along?
Reid chuckled a little bit as he made his answer.
"We'll see how all that works out," Reid said. "That's not where we're at right now. We'll just see how things work out for him. We've got a couple of good players there. I don't want to take anything away from his performance last night."
If I can read into the tone of Reid's voice a little bit ... it's too early for that. As we suspected. But it doesn't mean people will stop talking about. And that doesn't mean it's not a compelling poll question for a Chiefs blog (yes, a double negative).
"We felt really good about Tyler," Reid said. "The way he performed, he did some nice things. Does he have room to grow? Absolutely. That's what's exciting about the whole thing. We'll se how he does as time goes on here. He handled what we threw at him last night, he executed well and he's got a knack for throwing the football."
A knack indeed. Bray threw three touchdowns last night and while he still needs to work on his accuracy it was enough to make Chiefs fans excited.
Also, this came up: "I love Ricky Stanzi. I thought he was a heck of a player and I think Jacksonville got a good one there."
Okey dokey.
