The KC Chiefs beat the Green Bay Packers on Thursday night and the starting quarterback, Alex Smith, did not play. But that doesn't mean we don't have a little bit of quarterback drama. Tyler Bray looked raw but solid as he completed 14-of-25 passes for 169 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. Chase Daniel, meanwhile, completed just 4-of-8 passes, playing early into the second quarter before Bray relieved him.
The Chiefs current quarterback depth chart looks like this: 1.) Alex Smith 2.) Chase Daniel 3.) Tyler Bray
There aren't really any indications that the Chiefs are going to move away from that depth chart anytime soon. That's the way it's been all camp. You may think that money and contracts don't matter in terms of the depth chart, but I think they do. Daniel, with a three-year contract, is probably locked in as the No. 2 quarterback for at least the early stretch of the Chiefs season.
Andy Reid on Thursday night even said, "I'm still very comfortable with Chase being the No. 2."
We all know it's too early to be considering this. Tyler Bray has only played in a few preseason games. It's way too early. We know that. But that doesn't mean we can't vote on it.
So, what say you, Chiefs fans.
Who SHOULD be the Chiefs No. 2 quarterback?
