We continue on highlighting the KC Chiefs bubble players who have a shot at making the 53-man roster. We asked our readers if WR Rico Richardson would make the roster and asked the same with DE Marcus Dixon.
Up today, S Bradley McDougald, an undrafted free agent out of Kansas. (Note to Chiefs: Mrs. Arrowhead Pride, a Kansas alum, is rooting for him. Just in case, you know, her feelings factor into your decisions.)
The former KU football player has had a good enough camp and offseason to stand out. I can still remember him battling Saints TE Jimmy Graham in the first preseason game and coming out ahead. And then drilling another receiver across the middle, too.
His snap counts so far are all over the place:
Game 1
Defense: 66 snaps (75%)
Special teams: 8 snaps (29%)
Game 2
Defense: 1 snap (1%)
Special teams: 1 snap (6%)
Game 3
Defense: 36 snaps (50%)
Special teams: 6 snaps (20%)
Here's the latest Chiefs safety depth chart:
SS: Eric Berry, Quintin Demps, Bradley McDougald
FS: Kendrick Lewis, Husain Abdullah, Tysyn Hartman, Malcolm Bronson, Sanders Commings
The Chiefs will probably keep six of those players.
Will McDougald be among them?
