Andy Reid agrees.
"That's a tough thing to do," Reid told reporters on Sunday night. "Very tough." Calling it the toughest part of his business, Reid said he and Dorsey are in the middle of making their cut list.
"[Dorsey] and I are in the process of doing all that, formulating who stays and goes for this coming up here," Reid said.
Tuesday, August 27 at 4 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) the Chiefs have to be at 75 players. The current roster is 90 players. By Saturday, August 31 at 5 p.m. (Arrowhead Time) the Chiefs will have to be at 53 players. Lots of cuts are coming.
I think there are 25 locks to make the roster and 15 who probably will, too. That means there are 40-some odd players competing for about 13 spots.
"That's a tough deal," Reid continued, "these guys have busted their tails at their profession. We wish them all the best of luck when they leave here that they have an opportunity to go place someplace else.
"You never know in this business, you could be coming right back. It's a crazy day."
