Update: Jamaal Charles IS expected to play | Live chat during the game
It's game weekend. The KC Chiefs are en route to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers on Saturday night. The game kicks off at 6:30 p.m. at Heinz Field, the home of the Steelers. This is the Chiefs third preseason game after losing to the New Orleans Saints and then the San Francisco 49ers. The good part about those two games is that the first team defense looked sharp in both cases. The first team offense has been up and down.
Jamaal Charles' injury status is currently unknown. He had a foot strain over a week ago and missed last Friday's game against the 49ers. Andy Reid said Charles would have played if that were a regular season game. Although Charles is healthy and is practicing, it's unclear if he will play in Saturday's game in Pittsburgh. If he doesn't, Knile Davis will replace him in the line-up.
The Chiefs starters are expected to play more than they did last week but Andy Reid hasn't publicly confirmed that. Last week Alex Smith and the starters played the first half. This week they could go into the third quarter depending on the game.
