The Wide Reciever Conundrum

Look Ma, both hands!

With today's news of Jon Baldwin being traded to San Francisco for AJJ, the Chiefs questionable receiving corps has even more questions. The current group reads as such:

Bowe, Avery, Jenkins, Wylie, Hemmingway, McCluster, Copper, Bellamy, Richardson, Newsome, Hammond, Shoemaker.

Not very inspiring. Not much help is available with the current crop of Free agents as the notable names from this list are not going to come in and light the world on fire. So where does that leave us?

Bill Maas was on 610 today and mentioned something that caught my ear. In his opinion, Dorsey must find a diamond in the waiver pile once cuts start coming down. He also said that he believed that Dorsey has known this since training camp began. It seems he gave Baldwin his shot to prove himself because he did have the most potential on the team, but without any noticeable progress, Dorsey has cut his losses and is moving on.

My question to you, AP, is what guys are you looking at as potential cut down casualties? Any wideouts likely to be cut that could come in and have an impact? Who are you keeping your eye on as possibly a fringe guy who doesn't make the cut or a vet who is cut for cap reasons?
