I do radio so writing is not my thing (although I once had a semi-successful blog somehow). But I wanted to get more involved here with this blog so I figured I'd try my hand and do a fanpost. Recently most mock drafts have had the Chiefs going either Joeckel or Jordan. Both players could BOOM or BUST as almost any prospect who has a high rating can. My question to you guys is this....If we draft Joeckel we are essentially trading out a first round pick who panned out (Albert) for one we know nothing about and on the flip side if we go Jordan we are doing the same (Tamba). A 2-14 team has bigger needs then replacing already sound players. Are we afraid to pay these guys the money they have earned? I know Tamba has already been paid, my point is if we draft Jordan we are essentially saying Tamba isnt worth his contract. If 5 years from now either Jordan or Joeckel hit big are we going to let them walk and replace them based off of our draft position? I am all for BPA but with a talented team that underachieved terribly last year I dont think we are in the position to trade players who are already good for the unknown. We desperately need CB/S/TE/WR/ILB help, no player is rated high enough at those spots to justify pick 1. This may be the worst year ever to have the number 1 pick. I could elaborate more but I'll wait and chat with yall in the comments or on twitter @SullySparks
