Kansas City Chiefs say Eric Fisher can play anywhere along the o-line, and more reactions

The Kansas City Chiefs used the No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft on Central Michigan's Eric Fisher, who popped up as the new favorite in the last 24 hours. Chiefs nation reacted as they usually did -- loudly. Check out the results from our approval poll here and view the reactions of others below.

Andy Reid: "What you're getting is a very athletic player, a great kid, a smart kid — engineering major," Reid said. "He can play any position along the line, and loves to play the game."

More Andy Reid: "We didn't have any trade offers working. We're very happy with Eric. We targeted him and felt very strong about him. This kid is a person that's a football player."

More Andy Reid: "Both of them are fine football players. You're looking at two fine players. (Eric's) overall makeup, we had a good feeling about. You'll see he is focused. You just get that sense that he is with you. When we worked him out, he's no nonsense, let's get to work... He understood our offense well. He's not lacking for gigabytes. He has enough of that to hang with you."

NFL.com: New Chiefs coach Andy Reid loved building his previous Philadelphia Eagles teams from the inside out, and he will do the same in Kansas City. Like longtime Eagles offensive tackles Tra Thomas and Jon Runyan, Fisher stands 6-foot-7. Fisher is more athletic than both of them.
