I have been watching the Albert situation unfold and I am baffled at what folks are saying. Not necessarily on this site, but overall. First off, I will be pissed off if JD settles for Miami's #54 pick. Secondly, how can folks say that KC should just take what they can get and if Miami offers us the #54, we should take it? What confuses me is that all of these teams searching for a starting LT are reluctant to give up a 2nd round pick, yet they are the same teams that are willing to spend their #1 on an unproven LT. Why should we settle when we are the ones holding all the cards? I say screw them all. If we cannot get a 2nd AND 4th / 5th this year or 3rd / 4th next year, keep his ass on the roster. Personally, I would ask for a first and let them know that they could either piss away a first on an unproven rookie and take their chances or get a quality LT who has been in the league for five years. If they balk, we keep him AND draft one of the top three LTs in the draft.
