Chiefs cap as of *3/5/13*

2013 NFL salay cap is 123,000,000 but we rolled over 14,079,650 which puts our team cap at 137,079,650

121,474,975 Total cap for players including A.Smith

+8,084,145 Dead money

129,559,120 Total cap so far

+4,000,000 Cap hit for Bowe

+2,000,000 Cap hit for Colquitt "Guessing here"

+9,820,000 Cap hit for Albert

145,379,120 Total Cap which makes us -8,299,470 OVER the cap.

We need to get under the cap and have money to sign a few free agents and we can save alot by releasing a few players

-14,250,000 by releasing T. Jackson

-5,875,000 by releasing Cassel

-2,055,000 by releasing Stude

-865,000 by releasing Copper

122,334,120 would be our cap with 14,745,530 in cap space to sign free agents and/or give extentions to current players.

Below is a few sites I used in coming up with our numbers, each site had slightly different numbers on some things so I tried to use the best ones I could find

http://www.overthecap.com/teamcap.php?Team=Chiefs&Year=2013 http://www.kansascity.com/2013/03/01/4094599/chiefs-will-have-75-million-in.html http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/kansas-city-chiefs/

Hope this was helpful and it should give us a pretty decent guess as to were we stand with our cap. To the best of my knowledge these numbers are close.

BTW.... How do we have a cap hit for dead money on Glenn Dorsey?? According to overthecap.com above we are getting a cap hit for Dorsey of over 2,500,000. WTF? Can some please explain this to me?
