Well Dorsey.... I don't hate you anymore. You brought back needed talent and I forgive you for the Smith trade. A little bit. Now I will put myself in your shoes and decide the rest of our offseason, so you don't have to. You're welcome, no compensation needed.
Obviously we have to cut Cassel, he's damaged goods. He's a good guy, but we need the money. We'll miss ya buddy.

Next order of business would be to cut/re-structure Tyson Jackson (preferably restructure 5year/18-20 mil, 6-8 guaranteed). He's a good player. But not 14 million dollars good. We need money back after signing Bowe and Colquitt and tagging Albert. Tyson holds a lot of that money hopefully he re-structures. If not we can always address it in FA.

My first Free Agency acquisition would be to sign Chris Canty for 3 years 4-5 mil a year, regardless if we re-structure or cut Tyson. If TJax is cut then we roll with Ropo, Canty, Bailey and Smith, if TJax restructures then we roll with the same rotation plus TJax. It's a win-win.
Next, I would sign a TE. Preferably, Martellus Bennett (unless he is off the market and I didn't pay enough attention) or Jared Cook. Cook would be more likely as he'd be the cheaper option while still being talented with a TON of upside.
If I were GM there is a multitude of things I could do in this Draft. But, what I would do, would either be draft Geno at #1 and allow A. Smith to be his mentor (how funny would this be? Seriously it'd be hilarious. Especially if Alex got Russel Wilson'd. I'm laughing my ass off thinking about it.) or trade the #1 to the Eagles for the #4 and Nmandi (gotta restructure that backloaded contract) and swap 4th round picks and draft Richardson (if cut Jackson and unable to sign Canty), Kenny Vaccaro (If Canty and/or TJax is a Chief and moves Berry to FS, and gives us a Top 5 Defensive Backfield) or of course, Geno Smith (if he lasts this long).
I would then draft a WR in the 3rd round. Preferably Da'Rick Rodgers or Stedman Bailey. Both explosive playmakers, one comes with a little baggage though. I would then draft a TE with the comp. 3rd pick, and that TE would be Jordan Reed out of Florida. Similar to Aaron Hernandez, but bigger and a tad slower.

In the 4th round I would select QB, Matt Scott. I like him a lot and I think he'd be a better number 3/ developmental QB than Stanzi. Sorry Stanzi Nation. (Is that still around?) Plus MOAR QBS.
In the 5th round I would draft ILB Kiko Alonzo. He would compete against Siler for the SILB spot, and most likely win. Solid player that fills a need.
I would then choose O-Line depth in rounds 6 and 7.
You may ask where this leaves us... and to that I say..... Profit??? Wins??? Superbowl???
Well I sure hope so. Thanks for reading fellow Chiefs fanatics.
