We all know by now that Dorsey traded the second rd pick (34 overall) for Alex Smith to address the need for a starting QB. He promptly goes out to sign Bowe, Colquitt and tags Branden Albert, then releases Eric Winston which I saw as a good move due to his terrible pass blocking. Now everyone thinks Joeckle is no longer in the mix but I can see a scenerio where he trades Branden Albert for a 1st and 3rd rd pick thus giving the Chiefs 2 picks in the first rd and 3 in the 3rd. So far he is doing much the same as what I would do and that is to sign free agents for the defensive side of the ball and plans to draft for the offensive side. He could go 2 ways with his additional draft picks, either trade down to accumulate more picks or go with what he has to fill his needs. I can see him picking Joeckle NO 1 overall and with the later pick in rd 1 taking a QB to sit behind Smith for a couple years hopefully either Barkley or Wilson, then with two of his 3rd rd picks trading up to get a speed WR along the lines of a Tavon Austin to play opposite Dwayne Bowe. Im thinking the O line will look like this Joeckle LT, Allen LG, Hudson C, Asomaugh RG, Stephenson or the comp 3 pick competing for the RT spot. I also think he plans to use Dunta Robinson at safety while still pursuing Sean Smith to play opposite Flowers. If he retains Glen Dorsey it leaves one spot left to fill at LB. Mauglamua would be a nice pickup to play next to Derrick Johnson. Thats how I see him putting this team together, hope Im right.
