Recently since the rumor mill began to churn there have been various names mentioned as possible trade candidates for the Chiefs to consider at the quarterback position, among those being mentioned are Alex Smith, Matt Flynn, Carson Palmer, and Josh Freeman to name a few.. All these do nothing to get my heart pumping and none are worth the NO 1 overall pick as some would like us to believe, in fact i I wouldn't consider more than a 3rd or 4th rd pick for any of them.. There is however one QB who is still young playing for a team who finished poorly this season, a team who had high interest in Glen Dorsey a couple years ago that could be packaged with our NO 1 pick and maybe a 3rd as well. This QB in my opinion would be well worth the trade and one who I believe could take us to a Super Bowl. The big question is would this team make the trade? I'm talking about the Detroit Lions and Matthew Stafford who was formerly a NO 1 overall pick himself. This is someone who right now could have us competing with the likes of Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers and Palmer within our division. At this moment I would rate him above both Rivers and Palmer while being a close second to Manning. He could have us contending for not only a division title but the Super Bowl for the next decade. But would the Detroit Lions make this trade?
