Reports are out all over the internet and from credible sources the Chiefs and 49ers have already finalized a deal that will send Alex Smith to the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for the 63rd overall draft pick and a late round draft pick. The 49ers have informed other teams interested in Smith, that a deal is already in place, the deal cannot however be formally announced until March 12th. But for those speculating on who will be under center, looks like Dorsey and Reid have found their guy, and I for one couldn't be happier. Now if EJ Manuel slips to the 2nd round we have our QB Project of the future (I loved the comparisons to Kaeperknick they made today). Our 1st round pick should be interesting, but getting Alex all but puts Geno Smith out of the conversation altogether. Kudos to Andy Reid and Dorsey for a great move at the QB position!
