Kansas City is not an attractive destination for nfl free agents this off season. We reportedly pulled out red carpet for Chris Canty who is definitely not a top notch player, we couldn't even get him to sign a contract. There are some big names this off season who can become available in early march. Don't get me wrong I'm a diehard chiefs fan and have always been, but I wouldn't get your hopes up about us bringing some top free agents to the city of fountains. Yea we have money to spend, and could possibly have more if Matt cassel and Tyson Jackson both get cut which I think they will. There are a few others who could free up some more cap space- Steve breaston(big disappointment) and Kevin boss(if medically cleared to even play). John Dorsey definitely has his work cut out for him but to be realistic, I don't see a jake long or Greg Jennings or Wes welker(if not franchised) or even the players on their last leg via Ed Reed and Charles Woodson even considering the chiefs. It's gonna be a replay of why Peyton manning did to us last year and just say no thanks. Hell we can't even convince Dwayne bowe to stay(yes we are trying). All I am saying is don't get your hopes up for free agency, I would be surprised if we get any top names next month. Dorsey is known for developing players via draft and being selective in free agency. Well that was at Lambeau field, here in KC, free agency will not have the perks like a Green Bay or New England.
