Chris McGrath
Last week free agent Chris Canty visited the Kansas City Chiefs, who "rolled out the red carpet" for the former New York Giant. What's going on with Canty now?
Is Chris Canty still an option for the Kansas City Chiefs?
He was cut by the New York Giants last week, visited the Chiefs and the Tennessee Titans. Those are his only two known visits at this point. Canty said the Chiefs "rolled out the red carpet" for him.

We're no closer to finding out if Canty will be a Chief but I did find it interesting that he appears to be campaigning for the Carolina Panthers to call him.
"When asked about what the future holds he said would love the chance to be a Panther and Thomas Davis sent him a text that said "its time for you to come home".
...
"He says you have to move forward and open a new chapter. He said he would be willing to take a hometown discount to play for the Panthers."
Well that's not very encouraging. Canty would be an important piece for the Chiefs because, with Glenn Dorsey likely leaving via free agency, Canty would fill a need.
Free agency starts on March 12 but Canty can sign anywhere now because he was cut by the Giants.
