Finally, we hear intelligence from Arrowhead.

DO NOT TAKE A QUARTERBACK AT 1 IF YOU DON'T THINK HE DESERVES IT.

Is that clear enough? I've been hearing it, really I have. All the stats about the success of first round quarterbacks as opposed to the success of all the other qb's. How has this been misinterpreted? "First round QB = Superbowl." Let me drop some common sense on you, it's not the draft spot that equates to championships, it's the talent. Simple enough right? You'd be surprised.

Math.... when QUARTERBACKING SKILL = High draft spot, then and only then does a high draft spot QB = Championships.

It's common sense. It's the skill that gets the quarterback drafted in the first round and its that same skill that equates into championships. When you take the skill out of the equation, it falls apart. No championships for you. It shouldn't be shocking that the stats are so in favor of first round quarterbacks, if a quarterback is good, teams are going to want to get him before the other teams do. It should be that simple. But apparently it's not.

I'm glad to hear that it sounds like the Chiefs aren't falling for the trap.

Over drafting a qb at one can set back the franchise soooo far. I'm surprised at the number of fans willing to accept that risk given the organisation has already been clinging to a undeserving QB for the past 4 years. Yes I want them to get it right right now, Im sure they do to. But they cannot let it pressure them into making bad decisions.
