Division Dominance or a Super Bowl Win and a Decade of Mediocrity?

Which would you choose: winning the Super Bowl this year and then a decade of mediocrity?

Or no Super Bowl this year, but sweeping the Broncos AND the Raiders for the next 20 years straight?

Call me crazy, but I think I'd prefer the latter...

Because win a Super Bowl, and you get to brag for an off-season. If you suck after that, no one cares. For example, the Giants have won 2 Super Bowls in the last 6 years. Are they bragging about anything? Are they happy with their team? Does anyone fear or even respect them this year? They've won 33% of the Super Bowls in the last 6 years, and they are a laughing stock right now.

But if we swept the Raiders and the Broncos for a decade, even without winning a Super Bowl during that time period, we would be feared, respected, and hated by both teams for the next 30 years. The Chiefs of this time period would be spoken of in awe. No matter how good of a season the Broncos were having, they'd hate us for beating them in Mile High for 10 years straight. No matter how good the Raiders team might be, they'd be frustrated about being 0-4 against us, and that frustration would grow into helpless rage as that became 0-6, 0-10, 0-16...

Imagine how vexed they would be as those automatic losses knocked them from the playoffs, or destroyed their home field advantage.

No matter how bad our season might be in any one year, we'd at least have the satisfaction of beating the Broncos and the Raiders year-in, year-out.

And you also gotta know that those 4 automatic wins and automatic tie-breaker advantage over both the Broncos and Raiders would end up setting us up very nicely for a decade of post-season success...

I know it is impossible to actually obtain one choice or the other, but I'm curious what everyone thinks.

This idea came from thinking, "Let's say we win this year. Then what? We'd be set up for a year of disappointment because it is nearly impossible to win back-to-back. But dominating our most hated rivals for a decade is a gift that keeps on giving..."
