In other words, the ultimate in parity ... so much so that it's almost a parody in and of itself. Now you know why the NFL has divisional rivalry games backloaded in December, and boy is it getting interesting ...

Let's start with the surprising (to say the least) Charger win at Mile High. It should be noted that Rivers was praised for his game (and righfully so) even though his stats are pedestrian on the surface (ring a bell, Chiefs fans?) The Chargers move to 7-7 and are now in the middle of a muddled playoff scenario that could see THREE teams from the AFC West grab invitations to prom night. It's like something out of an adventure movie (almost).

While the Broncos may very well win their last two regular season games (weak schedule, you know) the Pats, Ravens and Dolphins all have challenges ahead, and the end results could mean some very different seedings rhan what most thought before the SD-DEN game

All that and the Jets might still be mathematically alive on top of it all ... and this is just the AFC side. Here they come, folks, down the stretch, neck and neck and what a horse race it is! Welcome to the NFL, where anything can happen and usually does ... are you enjoying this? You should! :-)

Ed Note: a MUCH better explanation of the actual chances of the Chiefs winning the division can be found here, great post by WSUChiefsFan
