What 9-0 really means

Comments sections everywhere are flooded with people saying the Chiefs aren't the best team in the NFL. They say the schedule is weak. They say the Broncos / Colts / Seahawks / 49ers / Whoever are better. Chiefs fans rally and reply. Defend and deny.

But why?

What 9-0 really means is that the Chiefs are 9-0. The last undefeated team in the NFL. In itself it's an accomplishment. For us fans, the Chiefs being 9-0 amounts to an exciting season. We can be proud and we can watch the games with hope for the future.

I don't feel like there is any reason to try to predict the rest of the season or what would happen in hypothetical games. When I look at the power rankings, any one of the top 16 or so teams would be good enough on paper to make me nervous if the Chiefs had to play them.

This team could lose any moment. They haven't. They're 9-0. Don't miss it. It's fun. That's all.
