I am surprised this hasn't been written about yet...
I am a formulaic person. And the formula for the Chief's success is so simple; even Romeo Crennel could figure it out. The Chiefs win when they lead the turnover margin. It's that simple.
The Chiefs lost in Denver with a tied turnover margin. Of course they should have lost on the road with an equal turnover margin to the 'best team ever.' I want you to remember how different the game would have been if Sherman didn't fumble. We may have had a shot. Fast-forward to the game vs the Chargers and we DO WIN if Smith wasn't intercepted.
THE ONLY WAY THE CHIEFS WIN THIS HUGE GAME ON SUNDAY IS IF WE WIN IN THE TURNOVER MARGIN.
We need to force turnovers and take care of the ball. It's as simple as that. In fact I guarantee that if the Chiefs win the turnover margin by +2 they will beat Denver.... it is simple. (I say +2 because we lost by more than 2 scores in Denver)
Really that is all this team is about. Taking care of the ball and capitalizing on mistakes. This is our identity. I don't care what any sports analyst pundit has to say about us. This is so glaringly obvious it should reach decibel levels greater than 137.5 for any Chiefs fan's ears.
We will lose on Sunday vs the Broncos if we don't take care of the ball.
We will lose if they take care of the ball.
The only way we win is if they turn it over and we don't. Simple as that. If you're at the stadium then you better make a lot of noise, and I mean A LOT. Perhaps a pick 6 could happen because a Denver wideout doesn't hear the stupid chicken bird arm waving audible by Manning at the line of scrimmage.
