The top pass rushing duo in the NFL is out with injury. Justin Houston, one half of the Chiefs starting outside linebackers, went down with an elbow injury in Sunday's Chiefs-Chargers game. It's hard to tell exactly what happened but Houston was grabbing his arm after one play.
The play happened at the end of the first half. Trainers came out to tend to Houston and he eventually walked off under his own power. With less than two minutes left in the half, he went to the locker room.
After halftime, the Chiefs announced that both he and Tamba Hali, who has an ankle injury, would not return.
Houston appeared to be in pain while he lay on the field but he did walk off under his own power, which Hali did not do as he was coming off.
We'll update once we know more.
