Denver has the greatest offense ever. The Chiefs were exposed after playing the NFL's worst quarterbacks prior to Peyton Manning. The Chiefs offense has zero chance to outscore Denver.
Every non-sense argument that I have heard about needing an offense to put up 30 points.....or even 20 points were debunked last night. If anything, last night encouraged me more about our chances to win a championship through our defense.
Perhaps I watched a completely different game last night through completely different lenses. But I enjoyed what I saw so much that I think it's important enough to take time out of my day to write about it.
Last night I saw a defense challenge what most people regard as the greatest offense in NFL history. I saw the greatest offense of all time stopped on 8/13 drives. 8/13 drives! I saw an offense exposé itself to an opportunistic secondary on several occasions out of fear of a pass rush. I saw one catch in which a receiver pushed a defender to get seperation make the almighty Peyton Mannings numbers look better than Alex Smith.
I would love to improve our team to increase the chances we can beat the Broncos. But I saw a game enable me to believe in our style of play against the Broncos at Arrowhead.....regardless of what statistics, analyst or odds makers say.
