Week 10 Roll Up:
This past week was full of surprises. Both winless teams got their first W and 6 games this week were decided by 3 points or less. Nate was nothing short of awful, posting a season low for all the amateurs with just 3 wins. All amateurs missed their lock of the week and only Nate missed his upset pick.
Pete Prisco: 7-7
Adam Schefter: 8-6
Season Roll Up:
Miller had a rare stinker this past week and the amateurs still hold a close 4 game lead over the experts.
Week 10 Picks:
-This is the up week for the Colts. Ryan Fitzpatrick will win a couple games this year, but not this one.
-Although both teams looked awful last week against their respective opponents, the Colts with Luck are still better than the Titans with Fitzy.
-The Colts will take this one because somehow the Titans managed to hand the Jags their first win.
Eric: New York
-The addition of Reed does nothing for the Jets already potent defense. Geno Smith does just enough to win, maybe a game winning drive.
Nate: New York
-With 2 weeks to prepare, I think the Jets are going to have the slight edge they need to win this one.
Vince: New York
The Jets may not be a good team, but they have been able to beat the Pats and Saints. As long as the D stands strong and Geno keep shis cool the Jets will win the game.
-Great opportunity for the Lions to gain a game in the NFC North. Though they haven't won a game in Pittsburgh in their last nine trips, these aren't the Steelers of the past.
-The Lions are on a roll right now and there is no way the Steelers can keep up with their offensive firepower.
-Probably one of the more underrated teams out there. The Lions are looking to make a splash while Big Ben looks like Big Gwen.
-Bore! I don't even know what to say...Tony Gonzalez pulls in double digit catches with a couple TDs.
Nate: Tampa Bay
-In the battle of the two awful teams, I'll take the one that seems to have the most momentum.
Vince: Tampa Bay
-Not much on this game. The Bucs are just going to kick the Falcons while they're down.
-Nick Foles has got it going on. 10 TDs and zero picks the last couple weeks. I'll take that against the Redskins defense. Philly might have their eyes on the division.
-Nick Foles is playing as well as anyone right now and and he should have his way with the Redskins awful defense.
The Redskins season is done and so should RG3's career. He will never help them long-term. Look for a good game from the Eagles.
-Congrats Jaguar fans, you won't be defeated but you still aren't good. Keep losing for your QB of the future.
-Congrats to the Jags for getting their first win. Now they can go back to their losing ways.
-The Cards are weak, but the Jags are weaker. Look for it to be a close game with the Cardinals winning by a TD or less.
-An opportunity for the Texans to get another win. Their defense has enough to pull off a victory, If this game were in Oakland my pick might swing.
-The Raiders look lost and Pryor is looking more and more like Jamarcus Russell. The Texans will put an end to their 7 game losing streak.
-They will try to get some kind of midseason run put together. Not saying a playoff run, but the Texans should win a couple of the next few games.
-With Jay Cutler out, I can't trust the Bears. The Ravens win consecutive games for the first time in almost 2 months.
-The Ravens can't run the ball to save their life, but they might not need with Cutler out in this game.
-The Ravens are a sub par team that will probably play around the .500 mark all year.
-I'm going to pick the Browns for the hell of it. You never know what you're getting with the Bengals this season.
-Yet another game the Bengals should win, but probably won't.
-My favorite team outside the Texans and they are definitely not letting me down. Andy Dalton with all the weapons he needs should cruise by the Browns.
Eric: San Diego
-The Florida sun isn't shining on the Dolphins. Things aren't right in that locker room and the next few games make it tough to get a win.
Nate: San Diego
-The Dolphins are dealing with too many distractions to beat a Chargers team that is capable of beating anyone.
-This game can go either way. Let's see which QB steps up to the plate.
Eric: New York
I don't think we're lookig at the same Matt Flynn. Though Green Bay pulled off a great trade getting Flynn back in about 2 years, they can't get it done against the Giants on the road.
Nate: New York
-2 teams going in opposite directions. I just can't see the Giants losing this game to a 3rd string QB.
Vince: New York
The Giants weasel a game from the Pack, but don't expect the, to do much more.
Minnesota Vikings at Seattle Seahawks
-Sorry Matt Cassel...Josh Freeman...whoever. The Legion of Boom will have its way.
-Harvin is planning a return and Seattle should have this game won by the 3rd quarter.
Awesome division the Seahawks are in. They play top talent so when they line up against sub-par teams they usually leave them behind. I don't expect this to be close.
San Francisco 49ers at New Orleans Saints
Eric: New Orleans
-Can't pick against the Saints at home. This is a battle of two of the top three teams in the NFC. Definite home field implications here.
Nate: New Orleans
-The Saints are just too good to lose at home to anyone right now. Even the 49ers.
Vince: San Francisco
-The beginning of the year was rocky for the 49ers but since have been mostly running in stride.
Eric: Kansas City
-I'm not going to even think about picking against the Chiefs at this point. Peyton Manning is banged up so the pass rush is important, but the Chiefs secondary matches up well with Denver.
-This one pains me. I just can't shake the images of the last few Chiefs games to think they will go to Denver and pull out a win.
-The undefeated Chiefs season comes to an end as the Broncos try to exploit the Chiefs D.
Eric: New England
-This is a statement game for the Panthers and I'm not sure they are quite ready for it. The defense will hold its own but Brady will pull one out Brady style.
-Finally. A quality MNF game. The Panthers quietly have one of the best defenses in football and will show everyone what they're made of against the Pats.
-Cam and the Panthers are a surprise team that could end up with a Wild Card appearance and stun people. The pats just don't have good depth at WR or TE. Granted, the Panthers need a second receiver, but they're at least stacked at RB with an athletic QB along with arguably the league's top 3 LBs.
