UPDATE: The Chiefs announced they have signed Ross. Chandler Burden was cut.
The Kansas City Chiefs worked out free agent wide receiver Rashad Ross on Tuesday, according to Aaron Wilson.
The Chiefs, like many other teams around the league, work out free agents on Tuesdays as they look to bolster the roster and also get a feel for what's available in case of emergency. With the news breaking today that Dwayne Bowe was arrested for speeding and possession of marijuana, the Chiefs might be doing some homework if Bowe misses any time on the field.
Ross is listed at 6'0, 167 lbs. He was a starting wideout for the Arizona State Sun Devils and finished his senior season with 37 catches for 610 yards and six touchdowns. He also has experience returning kicks and had a return for a touchdown in both his junior and senior seasons.
Ross entered the league with the Tennessee Titans, signing as an undrafted free agent in May after going unselected in the 2013 NFL Draft.
