Do the math ?

What's up fellow Chiefs fans. I was sitting here wondering what the point differential was between our Chiefs and the Enver Broncos on a statistical level. I know a lot of you guys appreciate the work that gets pit into someone actually looking up the facts. So there I was going over the win/loss records of both the Chiefs and the broncos, adding up the total amount of points each team wins by and dividing it by the number of games played to get the avg of points per game. ( that's how you do it right ? ) Anyway, when I added up the Broncos points per win ( I did not count the Colts game because they lost )I saw that the colts were winning by a margin of 18.71 ppg. But when I added up the amount of ppg they allowed ( again not counting the colts) the total came out to be 27.25. so correct me if im wrong (which has to be the case) but the broncos give up more ppg than they get. how is it that they are winning? and what am I doing wrong On a side note I also saw that the Chiefs were winning by a margin of 15.5 ppg. if that is also right then the broncos better watch out for the Chiefs because if there difference in victory is only slightly higher than 3 points than im gonna go ahead and call this a win!!! So maybe one of you stat junkies can double check my math because I am super confused, and absolutely not a mathmetician. just my feeble attempt to add to the community. GO CHIEFS!!!
