Which came first the chicken or the egg?

Hi guys. I'm a displaced Chiefs fan in St. Louis. Family grew up here, but I was born and raised in Kansas City until I was 12. Papa Wiegmale and Mama Wiegmale decided to make their way back to the motherland with the rest of the family. I've been a reader of this site, with the occasional comments, but this is my first FanPost, and hope to do more around the idea of how the Chiefs neighbors in St. Louis (and maybe other fanbases) view this newly resurged team.

I was in discussion with some Rams fans (I know, baseball fans in disguise), who finally gave the backhanded comment that the Chiefs have great man-press coverage, but won't be able to beat Denver. I proceeded to ask them on what premise they make this accusation. Their response was because the Chiefs don't have anyone like Robert Mathis, he just explodes off the ball! I didn't rebuttle, but left them with when you get home look up the league leaders in sacks and QB hurries.

This got me thinking and led to me the question below. I believe the secondary is a product of the pass rush. When the Chiefs are only sending 4 pass rushers, and giving the QB less than 3 seconds to find the open receiver, most corners can handle that task.

What do you think?
