Arrowhead Pride. The Gold standard.

The "Old Heads" here at AP might recall a post that I did back in 2011 titled "What Happened to Arrowhead Pride?".

Arrowhead Pride had been over run with a bunch of new posters who weren't trying to add any value to the site. Many were trolling other sites in the name of AP and just spouting useless information. It got to the point where many wouldn't even take the time to look at a Fanpost from someone that we didn't know. Awful fanposts that should have been fanshots at best were pushing quality posts off of the list before we could even read them. And the overall morale was low because the team was again sucking for the lack of a better term. I found myself barely even going to AP.

Well, All of that has changed. What happens on AP today is nothing short of phenomenal. I have seen some of the most well written articles that I have ever come across written right here. I don't get to interact as much as I used to, but I am still here. I get on almost every night to try to catch up on everything that happened during the day. There are so many weekly posts that I look forward to with my current favorite being Kalo's defensive breakdown. But that is not to slight MN, Matt V and Matt C, BJ, Nightmare, and dare I say ....Relaxing Poo?? I dare indeed. And as hard as this is for me to say, there is even a good post or two from our own personal rain cloud Saints. These are just some of the names that jump out at me, so if I didn't mention you, please don't take it personally. It seems that every week there is some some new poster who writes some awesome article, like RDOGuy (thanks Ups). You are all appreciated.

Then we have a wealth of commenters from Sudden, Steve, Spread, to Lanier and Ups who offer great interpost commentary. AP is so on right now that many people from other team's blogs love to come and spend time with us. And there are so many new posters who must have taken notice of the standard that has been set because even the new people are bringing it!

And I have to mention Knightwolfbr (even though he wants this to be a fanshot ) and the other poster whose name I can't remember who kept us updated everyday during training camp with enough tweets to feel like we are really there.

If you think I am a exaggerating, then go and visit some of the other blogs. For many teams, the amount of posts that they get is really sad. And what they have to say in those posts is often worse. Much of what I see here is print worthy. It really hits home how great AP is when you visit the big boys like Yahoo Sports and ESPN. Many of their articles wouldn't get any recs on AP. This is like having an interactive and constantly evolving award winning magazine. My hat is off to Joel and Chris for running the most awesome sports blog on the freaking internet. And I want to say to everyone who contributes in any form from a well timed comment to a well researched post (I didn't forget about you hitting us with the news and great articles every morning NJ Chiefs Fan) I want to say THANK YOU. Oh and I always appreciate the fine art from Chris Sembower. This is an awesome time to be a Chiefs fan. Now if only I can convince Bewsaf to continue his evaluations of the offensive line.......

This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Arrowhead Pride's writers or editors. It does reflect the views of this particular fan though, which is as important as the views of Arrowhead Pride writers or editors.
