From the FanPosts. Welcome to AP, Titans fans! -Joel
Before I even start this post I want to take the time to say how wonderful it has been discussing this game with Chief fans. The past few fan bases we have encountered (Hou, SD, NYJ) were all very obnoxious and very sure that they would "kill" the Titans, which of course never happened. So thank you from the rest of MCM for your courtesy and knowledge of the game.
NOW TO THE GAME
This is your chance to ask any and every question concerning the Titans, who will of course be led by our backup QB Fitz, and how our side thinks this game will fair. I'm not gonna do a long write up or anything, so I'll just put a few key points out there that y'all might want to hit on if your not too familiar with the Titans!
Few Key Points:
Backup QB-Fitzpatrick: Has had an amazing career against the Chiefs franchise, but will the streak continue against a proven defense and first string WR he may or may not have chemistry with?
Alterraun Verner and Jason Mccourty: Two corners who are playing at an elite level right now. Jason has been able to shut down his side of the field against some pretty darn good receivers and as a result teams are forced to throw Verners way. If you don't know who AV is just go back and watch our hgihlights this season, he has 4 int's and 2 fumble recoveries. Needless to say these guys are making noise.
Justin Hunter and Kenny Britt: Now why is Kenny Britt a key point you might ask? Well as inconsistent as he has been over the years, he has the potential to break out in any game, especially with a backup QB in (Just ask Kerry Collins). Justin Hunter has two career receptions and two TD's. Huge target with very good hands.
Titans front 7: This group has been great at stopping the run this year, and with a blitzing percentage of 44% they have gotten to the QB at ease it seems like. Look for them to throw even more pressure at Alex Smith and try to force a turnover or two.
CJ2K: Our man has not had a breakout game this season, but then again he hasn't seen the easiest schedule either. We've played 3 very good run defenses and one sucky one which he put up decent numbers against. Look for his load to get heavier this week with Jake down. Question is, will he break through or take enough attention away from Fitz to open the field up.
Well thats about it, ask away and good luck to both teams Sunday!!
