William (the refrigerator) Perry was a defensive tackle for the Super Bowl Champion Chicago Bear and a very big man...352 pounds. But not only was William Perry a big defensive tackle he was also a fullback...at least the Bears used him in that capacity from time to time. In 1985 he would block for Walter Payton or run the ball on the goal line. The fridge was part of Chicago's goal line package.
Many fans knew William Perry as a big guy, sometimes overweight, but what many missed was that the fridge was pretty athletic. He just wasn't a big tub of goo, he was an athlete.
I still remember that 1985 Chicago Bear team. One thing they had was a good, no great, defense unit. When they strapped it up, it was time for 4 quarters of torment for the opposing offense. The other thing I remember about that team was the fact that they all seemed to be having fun. That 85' Bear team actually acted as if they liked coming to work, kicking other teams butts...
I want to see that from our Kansas City Chiefs.
I want to see the Kansas City Chiefs with a great defense, enjoying football, tormenting apposing team's offenses ... and I want to see Dontari Poe in the Chief's goal line package.
I want to see the Chiefs enjoying the game.
Look at him...that dude would run OVER your ass. Somebody call the Poe Poe...cause we need a 351 in progress.
Poe is not only a big man. He is legitimately a world class athlete...he got skills. Why not take that talent, create some team moral, and put him in the goal line package from time to time.
This team could use a spark to sustain this run that they are on.
