Trade Dwayne Bowe...?!...?!!

What if instead of taking an Atlanta player from them, we give one to them?

I tried to do a fanshot but apparently my MD degree means I'm not smart enough to make up a url the site would accept just so I could post an idea......there have been articles recently for both why Bowe will come around and why he has disappeared and may never recover. I for one think he still has some talent and still has a spot in this league. I'm a little less sure he will ever fit the Alex Smith/Andy Reid type of offense we have going now. Atlanta just lost Julio Jones and now Roddy White is injured but not seriously...so they're not giving up Gonzalez. Instead they might be looking for a big-bodied possession receiver to help team up aka Dwayne Bowe (they just signed Robiskie for gosh sakes). If they give us their 2nd I would probably consider and or make this trade given that it will be a middle of the 2nd round pick most likely, we aren't really using Bowe a whole lot right now anyway, his contract would be nice to offload given the signings we need to focus on for this off-season (Berry, Houston, Asamoah amongst others).

Along with this idea if we pulled this trade I would immediately try to trade Cleveland for Josh Gordon and give up our 3rd rounder. Gordon has had off field issues but he is young, cheap, and has already produced with far less QB talent than Alex Smith is. He's also big, fast, and can actually separate from the defender. He could do well in our locker room if he embraces the team and family atmosphere and help to avoid any further off-field incidents.

I strongly believe this off-season we will acquire Jeremy Maclin and then the WR's would be Maclin, Gordon, Avery. Not bad. TE's Fasano, Kelce, McGrath. Not bad. RB's Charles, Davis, Gray. Not bad. Not striking the fear into the hearts of defenses but exactly the kind of crew that Reid/Smith need to run this modified west coast offense. Let the offensive line gel some and boom.

The draft would then have us able to take any one of a WR, TE, RB, QB, OL, OLB, S, DL in the (presumably) late first and middle second rounds. Lots of talent to be had this year as it looks to be a pretty deep draft. Personally I would like to get rid of Chase Daniel and his contract and add a QB (would love McCarron late in the 1st) in the draft to fight Bray for the back up position but another offensive weapon may be too tempting given the depth at WR this year. My other choice would be either a DL, OLB, or S with preference to the OLB. Our defense is legit, but keeping it legit means we need to keep finding people to step up and keeping the talent stocked. I would go with OLB given that after our elite tier of Houston and Hali we have complete unknowns. It would be nice to have some depth there beyond Zombo.

Lots of crazy ideas, would need everyone to want to make these trades but hey, I can dream big! Let me know what you think if any of those ideas sound even remotely plausible or helpful to the team. Go Chiefs, kill the raiders!!!
