Hello everyone. I hope you are all having a fantastic New Year. Packer fan here, and I have a serious thought this weekend about the ramifications of the Andy Reid signing. One of the selling points for Andy Reid in Arizona was that he was confident that he could "fix" one Kevin Kolb
. Then a thought arose that The Chiefs
could makeserious waves by trading for him, the Cardinals
' 1st round pick, and either a second or third rounder, given their absolute desperation to get that key impact qb they've been starving for since Warner left town.
Now before you call me flat out insane, hear me out. I do have several reasons for this
#1 The Cardinals weren't bad with Kolb as QB. Actually, they were quite good. They beat the Patriots on the Road and had won 4 straight to start the season, before he got hurt.
#2 Andy Reid drafted him, worked with him before trading him and knows what he can do well. Kolb knows him, the system he's likely to bring with, and that familiarity will help greatly.
#3 Trading out of #1, while getting a QB in the deal for relatively cheap, as well as getting an extra pick or two later in the draft would help improve the team much more than keeping the pick and reaching for a QB when there are many more skilled defensive players later in the draft.
