The second stop on the Chiefs coaching search could be the last. According to a reports, Reid and the Chiefs are "on the verge of a deal" after meeting on Wednesday for nine hours.
Update: Other reports now say not-so-fast on this "verge of a deal" talk.
Two days ago, Andy Reid was "95 percent" likely to join the Arizona Cardinals ... if the NFL rumor mill was to be believed. Today, he's now nearing a deal with the Kansas City Chiefs, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
From @mortreport and me: Chiefs on verge of a deal with Andy Reid. One source said "the major issues have been discussed and agreed upon."

I keep saying to be cautious about this because we don't want to get burned.
But, boy, this sure does seem like it's happening.
Reid's agent was said to be in the building on Wednesday during the interview. That's notable because he would likely be the one involved in the contract negotiations.
Let's hold onto our seats!
