Duke Williams - Shrine Game 2013, Senior Bowl 2013, Combine invitee 2013

Math wise what do two Safeties that are

The NFL Network's Bucky Brooks suggested that Nevada S Duke Williams may be an "intriguing" Day 2 prospect if he puts together a solid week of practice at the East-West Shrine Game.

Brooks notes that "scouts on the West Coast believe (Williams) has the talent to be a star as a pro." The senior's strengths are his "ball skills, awareness and big-hit ability," all of which have been displayed on tape. Someone is going to stand out during Shrine week, and Williams sounds like one candidate. Jan 15 - 5:46 PM

A balanced back end:) What could two Strong Safeties with Free Safety skills mean to the Chiefs Secondary?

Rotoworld has this to say

10. S Duke Williams (5106/203), Nevada - I was really impressed with Williams’ game against Cal, when he locked up Keenan Allen in the slot on multiple occasions. He saw some one on one snaps on receivers this week, but Williams worked best as a strong safety closing on runs between the tackles and on the edge.

Does this mean that day-three prospects Duke Williams (84.5), Johnathan Cyprien (79.6), and/or Shamarko Thomas (64.5), have higher upside than Kam? No. But they did have better college seasons than him (and a couple were better than Earl’s 72.0). Things to consider.
