Identifying Strength: Chiefs Defense

After going through the negative side of things identifying and discussing our biggest weakness, I figured it would be good to also look on the bright side of life and identify the Kansas City Chiefs defensive strengths in 2012. There wasn't much to be happy about with this defense in 2012 outside of Justin Houston and Tamba Hali getting to the QB with more frequency than years past.

The Chiefs defense gave up a whopping 425 points to opposing offenses last year, which amounts to an average of 26 points allowed per game. Not easy to win when you let offenses put up those kind of numbers on you. We put up a league worst 7 INT's and nearly league worst 27 sacks. They seemed to have some success against the run, allowing around the least amount of yards to opposing RB's.

What do you think Chiefs fans? Where was our defensive bright spot in 2012?
