First off I'm going to name the chiefs needs as if everybody stays in order from the most crucial to the least pending.
Let's start off with the QB position. What the chiefs need to do is hire a veteran. I'm thinking you get Alex Smith. Matt Flynn has only had 2 starts in his career and if we dont know what we're going to get we had might as well get a rookie. Which brings me to the next move is draft a rookie. Too me there are only 3 QB's worth drafting: Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson, and Geno Smith and in that order. As a fan I don't care about big flashy plays from our offense. All I care about is winning. Comparison to The San Antonio Spurs they don't do big, flashy plays they stick to the basics and on a consistent basis they win games and are always in the playoffs. Matt Barkley has great footwork and make any NFL throw. He is great with check downs if need be and can read defenses. Tyler Wilson is good he needs to work on his mechanics while throwing the ball but he would be the second pick. Geno Smith is good but not mentally. Mentally he is a punk. He shuts down if something doesn't go his way we would have another Cam Newton who throws one pick and everything else goes down the drain.
Second need is Wide receiver. With not a great offseason selection for WR I would say let's draft one. I think we go after Robert Woods in the second round who is fast aggresive runs the correct routes and is very physical. Or go after the receivers from West Virginia. who also possess the same packages of Robert Woods.
Third need is a Cornerback. If we are to get a veteran cornerback. Let's get Aqib Talib. Who played for the patriots. He is also a former resident of Missouri as he went to Blue Springs in high school. Also we should draft a rookie in the third or fourth round. Like Johnathan Banks A big 6'2 Corner who is speedy and has great size. He is as tall as most receivers, and has enough speed to keep up with most of them. Tough target to throw the ball over. If not draft a cornerback until later in the draft I would say let's get Tyrann Mathieu's from LSU. He is just so great at playing football. He is a ball hawk with speed and watching all of LSU's games he is not somebody you want to throw it around. He has the hands of a receiver. He is also a threat at kick returns and Punt returns. He also works hard he had one problem of the field smoking marijuana but honestly under the right coaching I bet he would be fine.
The fourth need we have is the Free safety position. I say we draft one. If available I would go after Eric Reid from LSU who is another big guy. Has great speed and is just attracted to the ball carrier. Great cover safety who can roam to both sides of the field.
The fifth need is Outside linebacker. Lets draft Johnathan Willard good outside linebacker. Decent speed great height and weight. Who can be a dangerous pass rusher and tackles very well. Somebody who doesn't have much hype about him but a lot of potential.
The sixth and final need is a Tight End. Lets draft Zachary Sudfeld from Nevada. This guy is another underrated guy who has decent hands. He has great size being he is almost 6'7. He has nice hands. He is a better blocker than a receiver but it would also distract defenses. In the right offense he could be a great weapon. Big hands big body. He's going to be hard to guard no matter who you are.
