Dirk Koetter, the Falcons offensive coordinator, reportedly interviewed with the Chiefs on Tuesday, but he won't be coming to Kansas City after signing a contract extension with the Falcons. The Chiefs two known coaching candidates are Keith Armstrong and Andy Reid.

The next head coach of the Kansas City Chiefs will not be Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator Dirk Koetter. According to Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com, Koetter signed a contract extension with the Falcons, tying him to Atlanta.

Falcons fans are happy about this move as it looked like most of their staff was going to get raided.

The Chiefs were said to have interviewed Koetter in Atlanta on Tuesday.

Kansas City has also been tied to Falcons special teams coach Keith Armstrong, but no confirmed date of an interview has been reported.

The latest Chiefs coaching search update involves Andy Reid. ESPN reports that, before Reid travels to Arizona to interview with the Cardinals, the former Eagles coach will be interviewed by the Chiefs in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

So that leaves only two known candidates for the Chiefs job -- Armstrong and Reid.
