Matt Cassel has caught a bad rap since coming over from New England. While he isn't a top tier QB, he is definitely a top 20 QB in the NFL right now. Chiefs fans don't know enough about the team to understand that Cassel's problems are coming more from a lack of talented offensive coaching than anything else.
It becomes painfully obvious when you compare the Matt Cassel of 2010 under an experienced Charlie Wies (who threw 27 TD's on only 7 INT's) to Matt Cassel under inexperienced Daboll or Muir (who is very ineffective). Newly appointed OC Pederson has hinted at the possibility of using what we have in our locker room this year, and even if we draft Geno I don't see him starting in year 1.
I have a good feeling that Andy Reid's offense can make Cassel look like he did in 2010. What do you guys think? Will Cassel be starting in 2013?
