The Chiefs hired Bob Sutton as defensive coordinator on Friday but a new report suggests the Chiefs were also interested in John Pagano, who coached the Chargers defense last season.
Bob Sutton is the KC Chiefs defensive coordinator. That's already been announced and done with. He's the guy.
But was he the first choice?
Skimming through several recent reports makes you wonder.
First, there was the report that Andy Reid wanted to hire Monte Kiffin to run his defense. Kiffin apparently wasn't interested. He has since reached a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
Second, and most recently, is this:
