My Favorite Fridays of the Year!!!
This particular image belongs to a series of other Chiefs players to be displayed tonight at the Pop Up Gallery at 2100 Grand Ave. downtown in the Crossroads District. As some of you might know, The Crossroads District hosts "First Fridays", which has been drawing tons of interest to the art community for some time now. If you have any interest what-so-ever in the arts, or would like to see your next Picasso, I highly encourage you to take a trip around the way. Well, hopefully, this image is posted correctly (no blog-swag yet, if you will). If I did, then you should be looking at Eric Berry making a diving interception. I think that is something we would all love to see this upcoming Sunday, barring him getting hurt in the process of making awesomeness happen.
Well, before I burn a loaf, I just wanted to share my talents with a community that I feel very comfortable with...that isYOU my Arrowhead Pride Friends. I will say, seeing those posterized pieces by Chris Sembower (forgive me for any mispelling) was really inspiring for me not only as a Chiefs fan, but more importantly as an artist...a starving one at that (half kidding). With all the craziness that goes on in the world on a day-to-day, our Chiefs and my drive to make art are the columns that hold my sanity high and strong. It is especially a privilege for me to come here and read everything that everyone has to say. I don't post a lot, but I do read a lot, and it really makes my day sometimes to know that our fellow fans can be so casual, informative, and dare I say critical. As an artist, critics are vital to my growth, so that is not to be a diss at all. I've been ripped apart in critiques, but it definitely makes one want to be better the next time around.
I could go on about the parallels between art, and football...journeys, tactics, etc. But no need to get more wordy than I feel I already have been. I just want you all to know that you make a hell of difference in this artist's life, and continue to make it a worth-while return here as often as I possibly can. The least I can do is show you my appreciation for our community, fans, and our team. Thank You Arrowhead Pride!
