Kansas City Chiefs Work Out A Pair Of Linebackers

Stay connected for news and updates

Earlier today we noted the KC Chiefs worked out free agent cornerback Chris Carr and we wondered what that meant for Brandon Flowers and his status for Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Now we can wonder the same about the linebacker position.

Kehl is a 2008 fourth round pick by the New York Giants. Carpenter is a 2006 first round pick by the Dallas Cowboys.

Note that it appears these workouts came before the news that Jovan Belcher would miss Thursday's practice with an injury. But it would've come after the news that Derrick Johnson was hurt.

So maybe that the Chiefs didn't sign any of these guys bodes well for DJ's status on Sunday.
