Kansas City Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel wasn't definitive about who will or won't play in Sunday's season opener against the Atlanta Falcons but he offered up some hints.
Crennel said it would be "tough" for some of the guys who haven't practiced to play. Those players include Kendrick Lewis, Allen Bailey and Anthony Toribio.
Crennel was asked about when he'll have to decide on Brandon Flowers' status and he said, "Maybe Sunday about an hour and a half before the game. That's the cut-down date, an hour and a half before the game. I've got to turn in the inactive list, so I have until then to decide."
Looks like that's probably what this is coming down to -- game-time decision. That makes a lot of sense considering Flowers has been out for so long and his status is still in limbo.
He was limited on Wednesday and Crennel indicated he would be limited in practice today. I would guess he's also limited on Friday and listed as questionable for the game.
Today's official injury report should be out soon.
