The Associated Press isn't exactly known for their innovation -- they just started doing power rankings this year! -- but they do pick the games each week. Barry Wilner of the AP has submitted his Week 1 picks and we have a bit of a surprise.
For the KC Chiefs and Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, Wilner has the good guys winning in an upset.
Wilner takes Chiefs, 17-14, in his "UPSET SPECIAL" of the week.
KC is a 2.5-point 'dog against the Falcons.
The Houston Texans over the Miami Dolphins in that double digit point spread game is the "BEST BET" of the week while the Falcons-Chiefs game is the only "UPSET SPECIAL" the AP has picked this week.
(They like capital letters at the AP.)
