Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel talked about the injured players and the big news is that Peyton Hillis is likely out while others will come down to a game-time decision.

Dexter McCluster hasn't said much about his injury which is still one of the more gruesome sights this year as far as injuries go. You can see pictures and video of McCluster's elbow bent the wrong way here but on Thursday McCluster talked a little bit about how it felt and what his rehab has been like.
McCluster said he "kind of went into shock" with the pain immediately after the injury, which we could've guessed. On the play in question, McCluster dropped the ball on his own, despite not being touched. He would only do that if he were in some serious pain.
He said he "put a little stress on it" which might be the understatement of the year when you look at this picture of the injury.
When that happened, I and a lot of other people thought it was something broken, something that could end his season.
"What I really wanted to do was try to get the swelling down as fast as possible, continue to do treatment two, three, four times a day and get back as fast as possible."
For the first time in what seems like a long while, we got good news on the injury front when McCluster was only limited on Wednesday.
As far as this Sunday goes. McCluster said he's "catching fine" right now so playing this week sounds like it's still on the table. We've gone over what happens if McCluster doesn't play but it doesn't seem all that crazy to think he'll be out there on Sunday.

The news on Dexter McCluster and his injury are in and it's encouraging. KC Chiefs head coach Romeo Crennel said on Wednesday that McCluster would be limited in practice, which is a good sign considering how nasty his injury looked.
By placing him limited, it suggests McCluster has a shot to play this weekend against the San Diego Chargers.
"Dexter has got an elbow and he'll be out there," Crennel said, via comments sent out by the Chiefs, "and he's going to be limited. We will not contact him. We're not going to have contact today anyway because they're not putting on pads today, but he'll be out there trying to see what he can do."
When you couple this with McCluster saying on Facebook earlier in the week that he's "feeling good" then I think you have to be encouraged. I was worried this would be a season-ending situation but it's not.
We'll have a better idea of McCluster's status later in the week but if I had to guess now he'll be limited every day and then questionable on Friday. We'll see what the Chiefs decide to do with him.

One of the big story lines this week will be the health of Kansas City Chiefs receiver Dexter McCluster, who hurt his elbow last weekend against the New Orleans Saints.
Unfortunately, we're probably going to have to wait another day to find out more about his status.

Tuesday is the player's off day so head coach Romeo Crennel will not be talking to the media. Crennel's media session won't come until Wednesday around 10:45 a.m.
Romeo said on Monday that he didn't know yet what McCluster's status was, but hoped to learn more by Tuesday or Wednesday. If it's not a serious injury -- like season-ending -- then Crennel could keep us in the dark for a few more days. There's no reason for him to say publicly what McCluster's status is -- outside of what the league requires him to do with the Wednesday through Friday practice reports -- so he might as well keep the San Diego Chargers guessing.
We'll keep an eye out but I'm predicting Wednesday is the earliest we'll hear of anything.
