AFC West Backs Come Back With Great Performances

Please forgive me for tresspassing into enemy territory with this post but thought I would share a post I created over at Silver and Black Pride.

Just a quick shout out to KC's Jamal Charles and Oakland's own Darren McFadden on their big games, huge runs, and contributions to both team's much needed first wins. For Charles to break a run like his a year after an ACL tear is incredible. To those of you not familiar with Lisfranc fractures, here is an excerpt of the recovery time from Lisfranc Fracture ORIF - footeducation.com according to specialists.

A displaced injury takes a number of months to recover. For most Lisfranc injuries about 70% of the recovery occurs in the first 6 months, but it is often a year or more before our patient has reached their point of maximal improvement following a significant Lisfranc injury.

This completely contradicts Hue Jackson's status updates last year stating McFadden was week to week. This also makes his performance against a normally stout Steeler run defense that much more impressive considering it's been less than a year since the injury took place against ironically the Chiefs. Good luck to both players and good health as they are integral to their teams' success and their fanbases' hopes the rest of the season and going forward.
